Back in July last year palmInsider was the first site to inform about the LifeDrive being discontinued and we were highly critized at that time. Those days, we were not aware that Palm had stopped selling the device first in Europe and today we get the confirmation thanks to a reader (Charles) that this affects now worldwide: "I just got off the phone with Palm and spoke to a sales rep. They were telling me that the LifeDrive is absolutely discontinued. This is a fact! They did not give me a reason why".

Rob @ Hobbyistsoftware seems to be working hard to launch version 3 of Initiate, and he says "I think you'll be impressed with the new features..." No more details about when will it be ready.

I have always said that Agendus for Windows Mobile (both Pocket PC and Smartphone) was close to perfection, still from the very stages of the beta testing one of my biggest complaints was that it couldn't be set up as default PIM (personal information manager) instead of defaut calendar. I was always promised by Iambic that this would come, and it has! it is never too late: among other remarkable improvements v1.03 allows you to set Agendus as default PIM on your WM device. Check all improvemets here.
LifeDrive vs LifeFlash
Videocast

PDAColombia has put togother this fantastic videocast in which they compare the start up after a reset of the conventional LifeDrive with the microdrive, with a modded LifeDrive with a 4 gig flash memory. As you can see on the video, the speed improves a lot, and theorically the battery life as well.
I have read at Treocentral forums a rumor that could be true: it seems that Palm's working on a big upgrade of the Treo 750 to be released somewhere on Q4. The upgrade would include for sure Windows Mobile 6, HSDPA, and if you'd like to speculate, 320x320 screen and more memory (and battery life!).
I have been using the extended battery for the Treo 750v sent by Proporta for some days now and what I can tell is that the performance is impressive so far. At first, I just planned to review it and go back to the standard battery. The reasons for this were that I found the Treo too bulky, but as a matter of fact there are not big differences in the real use.
I haven't made any official testing of the performance, but so far I use the Treo up to three days with a single charge, which for me is three times the performance of the standard size. Read below to see more pics and get more details over at Proporta.
